The installation begins with the removal of your old glass or polycarbonate roof panels. These are replaced with high thermal efficient insulated conservatory roof panels. Our conservatory roof panels are made from a unique patented design that incorporates ultra-efficient roof insulation PIR boards, Kingspan K107. The efficiency of this material is 0.019 W/mK at a thickness of 25mm. The Kingspan K107 is the best performing insulated panel available today.
The conservatory roof panel is then sprayed with Aerogel, a substance that carries the greatest insulation specifications of any insulator and is used in situations of tremendous heat or cold applications. This brings the thermal conductivity of the panel down to a measurement of 0.015 W/mK.
We then cover the conservatory roof with a multi-layer insulation quilt which offers both thermal efficiency and is a highly breathable membrane which is both water resistant and vapour permeable. This multi-layer insulation is 40mm thick and comprises of 11 layers of recycled polyester wadding and true aluminium, effectively dealing with condensation and all forms of energy transfer.
This multi-layer insulation when combined with our insulated conservatory roof panels will give a thermal performance greater than 0.18 W/m2K, which is the Building Regulations requirement for any renovation on a pitched or flat roof.
